Come and lose yourself in the world of knots at this mindfulness macramé workshop. Try your hand at creating intricate plant hangers in a serene relaxing atmosphere. Creating a macramé product can be very calming to the mind, body, and spirit! Many people find that macramé, an art of repetitive knots used to create designs to be a meditative art form. In this class, you will learn all the basics of macramé, including what materials to use, how to make basic macramé knots, and how to create beautiful Bohemian-inspired macramé plant hangers. Macramé is an environmentally friendly art form - we will be using recycled cotton rope, and wooden ring. All materials will be provided and you will create a with a wonderful macramé plant hanger ready to display - adding a touch of Bohemia to your home.It's easy, fun, and absolutely no previous experience is required!Use your newfound skill to make yourself a wall hanging or Christmas gifts for friends & Family when you get home.

Macramé kits by Your Guide, Kali

Kali is a London-based fashion designer with a passion for macramé art. She loves the therapeutic nature of macramé and the satisfaction that comes from creating beautiful designs with her hands.

Her work is inspired by her own life experiences within diverse surroundings, from the crazy neon lights of Tokyo, to London’s urban street culture, via the bohemian vibes of Sydney.  

She creates handmade, contemporary macramé wall hangings, plant hangers and various accessories using recycled cotton, driftwood and metal pipes, with a touch of neon for a fresh twist. She loves to experiment with and combine different types of materials.

She is very conscious of environmental issues and is always looking for ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle, in order to reduce the impact we have on the environment. She uses natural and recycled materials where possible and only uses recycled paper for printing and packaging.
