December 2022: Mindful Writing and Journaling

Whether you currently keep a journal or want to kickstart a new, positive habit for the new year, come join AllSwell founder Laura Rubin, and the Master Peace Box community, as she walks us through accessible writing-based activities to get the most out of putting pen to paper. She’ll show us how to use mindful writing to increase creativity, decrease anxiety and combat digital overwhelm. You'll come away with a suite of actionable, accessible ways to help you be more productive and feel better on a day-to-day basis - and we could all use a little of that.

Gentle reminders: There's no such thing as being “bad” at journaling so no stress is necessary. You do not have to be a good writer to journal. And nobody will be asked to read aloud from the pages of their notebooks. Relax, enjoy.

For Virtual Access Only Members, all you will need is a pen and paper or journal for this workshop. If you would like to upgrade to the supply box + workshop access membership, let me know and I can assist with that switch.

For Monthly Box Members - If your box doesn't arrive beforehand, please let us know, but we would still love to have you join with a pen and paper of your own. You'll be receiving pens and a beautiful blank journal from Hereafter and of course our workshop access ($15 value).

Laura Rubin, Instructor

About Our Instructor

Journaling expert Laura Rubin is the founder of AllSwell, a company dedicated to fostering analog expressions of creativity as a means of supporting mental wellbeing. As a corporate refugee and successful entrepreneur (leading her own marketing consultancy for a decade and a half), Rubin is equally comfortable navigating boardrooms and working with groups of creatives. A published journalist and editor, she recognized the power that the writing process provides when applied to the self. Rubin initially launched AllSwell with a series of blank write-draw notebooks as an antidote to digital overwhelm. From media companies to high-visibility consumer brands, Rubin now leads workshops and provides coaching to help organizations and individuals become healthier, happier and more visionary.

More About AllSwell

AllSwell’s mission is big -- to help people wake up to their own voice, personal path and radical self-worth through creativity.

Communications pro Laura Rubin launched AllSwell seven years ago with the purpose of educating people about the wide-ranging, meaningful benefits of journaling.

Born from a morning surf check with uninspiring results, Laura sat on the beach and journaled instead. She wrote “Swell or no swell, all’s well” and an idea for a brand was born. She recognized journaling had a bit of a “PR problem” and wanted to invite more people to reap the mental and emotional benefits of putting pen to paper.

With a dedication to quality design and environmental sensitivity, Laura introduced the brand with a suite of products to encourage analog expression and grew it to include original live workshops, digital experiences and 1:1 creative coaching.

Inspired by our line of notebooks, we create and lead custom writing and drawing workshops - in both digital and real world settings - with select partners worldwide. We have a track record of collaborating with like-minded brands, including... Adobe, Endeavor, The Proper Hotel, Violet Grey, FujiFilm, Alo, Goop, Goldfaden, Gjelina, Well + Good, Soho House, The Assemblage, Hydro Flask, LOVE Yoga, Miss Grass, Madre Mezcal, Habitas and more.

We’re on a mission to help individuals and organizations better connect with their creativity in ways that lead to surprising, often profound, realizations - and a healthier environment.
